Best Chase Savings Accounts Interest Rates

There are two different Chase savings account options you can open. The better option depends on how much cash you have to deposit. Let’s see what your best option is to find the best Chase savings account interest rates.

Chase Savings Accounts

The information for Chase Savings℠ has been collected independently by Johnny Jet. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

The entry-level Chase savings account is aptly named Chase Savings℠. This can be a better option for many because it’s relatively easy to waive the $5 monthly account fee.

How to Waive the $5 Monthly Account Fee

Your monthly fee is either $0 or $5 per month. This account fee is small but still annoying. Thankfully, you have several ways to waive the monthly fee.

Is there a minimum balance for Chase’s savings account?

  • Minimum beginning of-the-day balance of $300
  • Minimum $25 Autosave or repeating transfer from a personal Chase checking account or a Chase Liquid prepaid card
  • Chase College Checking account linked to Chase Savings for overdraft protection
  • Linked to a qualifying Chase checking account
  • The account owner is younger than age 18

Monthly Withdrawal Limits

Chase lets you make up to six free monthly withdrawals. All excess withdrawals cost $5 per transaction.

Federal regulations only let you make up to 6 online withdrawal requests per month. Once you meet this monthly limit, you will need to visit a Chase branch or ATM if you can’t wait until next month. Don’t forget these withdrawals are subject to Chase’s $5 excess withdrawal fee.

Who Should Open a Chase Savings Account?

Chase Savings℠ can be a good option in these instances:

  • Can waive the $5 monthly account fee
  • Want local branch access to your savings account

Chase Premier Savings Account

The information for Chase Premier Savings℠ and the Chase Premier Plus Checking℠ has been collected independently by Johnny Jet. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

If you have a high cash balance, a Chase Premier Savings℠ account can be better. The Premier Savings account has a $25 monthly fee but there are ways to waive it. One way is maintaining the beginning-of-the-day account balance of at least $15,000 each day. The other is to link a Chase Premier Plus Checking℠ or Chase Sapphire℠ Checking account.

Of course, an online high-yield savings account can still be a better option if you’re comfortable using an online-only bank. There isn’t a one-time new member bonus at this time.

Premier Relationship Bonus

Here are the two requirements to qualify for “Premier status:”

  • Link a Chase Premier Plus Checking℠ Account or a Chase Sapphire Banking account
  • At least 5 customer-initiated transactions from the linked checking account each monthly statement period

Monthly Savings Withdrawal Limits

Your first 6 monthly withdrawals are free. However, you will pay $5 per excess withdrawal unless your account balance remains at least $15,000 after the withdrawal or transfer.

Like the basic Chase Savings℠ account, federal regulations only permit up to 6 monthly online withdrawals. You will need to visit a local Chase branch or ATM after exceeding the monthly limit.

Who Should Get Chase Premier Savings

  • Can qualify for the Premier relationship rates
  • Able to maintain a minimum $15,000 balance at the beginning of each day
  • Are you a Chase Sapphire Banking or Chase Premier Plus Checking member

Chase Sapphire Banking

The information for You Invest℠ by J.P. Morgan has been collected independently by Johnny Jet. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

At this time, Chase Sapphire Banking only offers a checking account product. You will need to open a Chase Savings or Chase Premier Savings account if you want a Chase checking and savings account.

The monthly account fee is $25 unless you maintain at least $75,000 in combined assets for these accounts:
