Chase Sapphire Preferred — 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card increased its signup bonus to 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points worth $750 in award travel by spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening. Previously, the bonus was 50,000 points worth $625 with the same minimum spend. One tradeoff is that Chase doesn’t waive the $95 annual fee for the first year.

Many travelers consider the Sapphire Preferred the best overall travel credit card because of its reasonable annual fee and flexible redemption options. You earn 2x points on all travel and dining purchases.

Each point is worth 1 cent each for non-travel rewards. However, they are worth 1.25 cents each when booking travel through the Chase travel portal. Because of this, it’s possible to find more value by transferring them to the 1:1 transfer partners like United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, British Airways Avios, and World of Hyatt.

The Platinum Card from American Express — Up to 100,000 Membership Rewards

The Platinum Card® from American Express is offering one of the highest welcome bonuses for this card. By using the CardMatch™ tool, you may qualify for 100,000 bonus Membership Rewards points worth $1,000. The standard welcome bonus is only 60,000 points worth $600.

You earn the Platinum Card bonus after spending $5,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months of account opening.

Note that American Express only lets you earn a welcome bonus once per card. Being able to earn 100,000 points means you qualify for possibly the highest bonus this card may offer.

This is also one of the best credit cards for travel miles as you get 5x miles when booking flights directly through the airline or on AmexTravel.com. You also get an annual $200 airline fee credit, $200 in Uber credits, and complimentary airport lounge access, to name a few other perks.

Chase Ink Business Preferred — 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points

If you’re in the market for a business credit card, the Chase Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card has one of the best credit card signup bonus options. Its 80,000 bonus points are worth $1,000 in award travel. You will need to spend $5,000 within the first 3 months of account opening to qualify.

You will also earn 3x points on the first $150,000 in combined spending on travel, shipping purchases, Internet, cable and phone services, and social media or search engine advertising.

Your points have a standard redemption value of 1 cent each for non-travel rewards. But they are worth 1.25 cents when redeemed for award travel booked through Chase. You can also transfer them on a 1:1 basis to the various airlines and hotel Ultimate Rewards transfer partners.

This card does have a $95 annual fee but doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee. If you can meet this signup bonus spending requirements or don’t want the annual fee, Chase also offers two $0 annual fee business credit cards.

Both the Chase Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card and Chase Ink Business Unlimited℠ Credit Card offer $500 bonus cash by spending $3,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months of account opening.

This bonus is higher than other best small business credit cards that don’t have an annual fee and have the same spending requirement.

British Airways Visa Signature Card — Up to 120,000 Avios (Expired)

One of the more flexible frequent flyer miles is Avios as you can book flights on British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus and partner airlines including American Airlines. If you plan on spending $30,000 during your first year, you can maximize the British Airways Visa Signature Card signup bonus. You can earn up to 100,000 Avios by getting 4x Avios on the first $30,000 spent in your first year.

After the first year or first $30,000 spent, you get 3x Avios on British Airways purchases and 1x Avios for all remaining purchases. Sending $30,000 annually also gives you Travel Together tickets. These tickets mean you only pay fees and taxes for your companion’s seat when you book your seat with Avios.

Avios can be redeemed for award flights starting at 4,500 Avios (plus fees and taxes) for short-haul flights inside Europe. You can also book domestic American Airlines flights for 7,500 Avios plus $5.60 fees and taxes each way.

This card has a $95 annual fee but doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee.

World of Hyatt Credit Card — Up to 50,000 bonus points

The World of Hyatt Credit Card has a tiered signup bonus. You get the first 25,000 bonus points by spending $3,000 in the first 3 months. The second 25,000 points come after spending $6,000 in the first 6 months.

You also get one free night each card anniversary at a Hyatt category 1-4 hotel. Spending $15,000 annually gives you a second free night certificate. Plus, you automatically qualify for Discoverist loyalty status.
