Having the highest credit limit possible on your credit cards can really help you in a pinch when the unexpected occurs. If you need to make a large, one-time purchase, having one card to charge it can be a lifesaver. Additionally, higher credit limits also improve your credit score when you maintain a low monthly balance. If you want to enjoy both of these benefits, consider one of the following high-limit credit cards.

What Credit Cards Offer the Highest Credit Limit?

Your credit limit is based on several factors, including the card type and your credit profile. Some credit card products have a minimum credit limit. For example, a Visa Signature card must have a minimum $5,000 credit limit. A Visa Infinite must have a $10,000 limit or higher.

Your credit limit also depends on your credit score. Of course, your previous credit history, current income, and monthly expenses can also determine the highest credit limit you qualify for.

If you have “Excellent Credit” with a credit score above 780, your best option is a premium rewards card. These cards also come with many additional benefits that lower-priced cards don’t offer. If you can justify the higher annual fee, you can give some of the best rewards credit cards a try.

Some of the Credit Cards With the Highest Credit Limit

Here is a preview of the cards you’ll want to check out, as well as their bonus offers:

Chase Sapphire Reserve

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® is a Visa Infinite card. This means your credit limit is at least $10,000.

With this flexible travel rewards card, you also get these benefits:

  • $300 annual travel credit as reimbursement for travel purchases charged to your card each account anniversary year

  • 10x total points on Chase Dining purchases with Chase Travel

  • 3x points on other dining at restaurants, including eligible delivery services, takeout, and dining out
  • 1x points for all remaining purchases

Note that you will not receive rewards points on your first $300 in annual travel purchases as the annual travel statement credit reimburses these purchases.
