Keep your big bills separate from your small bills to be safe

Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip builds on past tips about being smart with cash and valuables on the road:

“Make two groups in your pocket: 20s close to your leg, smaller on the outside so you only take out the smaller bills or pull out one or two $20s. Use the same principle for foreign currency. Larger bills stay in your pocket until you need to take them out.”

A good idea, and similar to my dad’s strategy. Thanks, anonymous reader!
