The Capital One Venture credit card has long been a go-to credit card for travelers of all stripes. It’s ease of use and generous mile bonus for new cardmembers make it a solid choice for those who want flexible spending and redemption options. But now, the card is getting even better. The Capital One Venture credit card now comes with a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit on top of the already beneficial perks.

Collecting Points With the Capital One Venture Credit Card
New cardholders can earn an additional 50,000 miles if they spend $3,000 in the first 3 months of membership. That’s on top of the 2x miles per dollar earned on every purchase, every day. Capital One also partnered with Hotels.com earlier this year to offer 10x miles per dollar at hotels booked and paid on hotels.com/venture. Just pay with your Venture card to get the extra miles.
The Venture Card Benefits
Many choose the Venture card because of its ease of use. There are no hoops to jump through or transfers to make when it comes time to redeem miles. Just spend as you normally would. Then log into your account and use the purchase eraser to effectively remove travel-related charges.
It works on everything from Uber rides to plane tickets to tour operators and more. You even have up to 90 days after purchase to redeem miles for spending.
Other card perks include no foreign transaction fees on international purchases and an auto rental collision damage waiver.
All of this does come with a $95 annual fee. However, it is waived the first year, making the new perks even more valuable.
The Capital One Venture Credit Card Now Comes With a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck Credit
But now, on top of all that, Capital One has added an additional reason to sign up: The Capital One Venture credit card now comes with a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit. A Global Entry application costs $100 and TSA PreCheck costs $85. In order to redeem the credit, pay for the application fee with your Venture Card and the statement credit will show up within two statement cycles.
Keep in mind that while you can apply for both, Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck. Capital One will only offer a credit for the first application, so it behooves you to go with Global Entry. Also, the VentureOne credit card isn’t eligible for the statement credit, just the Venture.
If you already have Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, know that the name on the application doesn’t have to be yours, it just has to be your card that pays for it. So feel free to use the refund on a friend or family member. Then you can both take advantage of the expedited entry at airports all over the country.
The Bottom Line
If you’ve been waiting to sign up for the Capital One Venture credit card, now is the time. Between the welcome bonus, extra miles from bookings on Hotels.com, and a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, the Venture card is more valuable than ever.
