In this review of Chase and Capital One credit card offers, we break down the different ways you can earn more rewards. Using your cards can help you maximize your purchase rewards. Let’s take a look at how you can earn more for your spending.

Best Chase Current Credit Card Offers

To begin this Chase and Capital One credit card offers review, let’s start with Chase. Chase is offering several enhanced offers for its travel and cashback cards. They’ve also introduced two new cards in recent weeks.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® is one of the best travel credit cards and it also has one of the best signup bonuses worth up to $1,000 in award travel. For a limited time, you can earn 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards by spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. You can redeem your points for up to $1,000 in award travel using the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. Another redemption option is transferring your points to airlines and hotels at a 1:1 ratio.

Through April 30, 2021, the Chase Pay Yourself Back feature makes each point worth 25% more when you redeem them for grocery stores, dining, home improvement, and charity donations.

You also earn 2 points per $1 on travel and dining purchases. And through March 2022, Lyft rides earn 5x points. All non-bonus spending earns 1x points. One partner benefit you might also enjoy is one year of free DoorDash DashPass to waive the delivery fees on most DoorDash and Caviar orders.

The annual fee is $95. You can qualify for this bonus if you haven’t received a Chase Sapphire bonus in the last 48 months and currently do not have another Chase Sapphire product.

Chase Freedom Flex

The Chase Freedom Flex℠ is one of the two new Chase credit cards and replaces the Chase Freedom®. New cardmembers can earn $200 bonus cash by spending $500 in the first 3 months.

Your points can also be redeemed for award travel and gift cards for up to $200 value. Chase Sapphire cardholders can pool their Freedom Flex earnings to take advantage of the travel redemption bonus and point transfers.

During the first 12 months of having the Freedom Flex, you can earn 5% on grocery store purchases on the first $12,000 in annual spending. All remaining grocery trips earn 1% back. Target and Walmart grocery purchases do not earn 5% back.

The Freedom Flex also earns up to 5% back on purchases, including 5% back on the first $1,500 in combined purchases in bonus categories that rotate each quarter (once activated). Cardholders also earn unlimited 5% on travel purchased through Chase, 3% on dining at restaurants and drugstores, and 1% back on all other purchases.

The best Chase credit card might be the Chase Sapphire Preferred as you can earn 80,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards ($1,000 value) by spending $4,000 in the first 3 months. Your travel and dining purchases earn 2 points per $1 and you have flexible travel redemption options. The annual fee is $95 which is reasonable for many average travelers.

The Capital One Venture can be a better option when you want to earn flat rewards on all purchases. The standard purchase rate is 2x miles but hotel and car rentals made on Capital One Travel earn 5x miles. You might also apply for the Capital One Venture first when you have opened at least 5 new credit cards in the most recent 24 months. The Chase 5/24 rule discourages churning Chase credit cards.
