Chase’s dining hub was officially announced in February, but it just launched this month, as one of the latest and greatest perks for cardholders. While much of the cardholder perks that have appeared this year have centered around spending in categories such as groceries and takeout, this is one of the first cardholder perks to come to fruition that actually encourages you to leave your house.

With restaurants around the country getting back to business, could this dining hub be a boon for both them and Chase (as well as the loyal cardholders)? Here’s what to know about Chase’s latest efforts.

What Is the Chase Dining Hub?

The hub is available to Chase Sapphire, Chase Freedom, and Chase Ink cardholders. Simply found at dining.chase.com (or via the Chase app or through your Ultimate Rewards account), the Chase dining hub offers a range of features, partially in thanks to Tock, Chase’s partner in the effort. Tock is a Chicago-based tech company specializing in online reservation systems.

Once inside the dining hub, you can make reservations — both for a normal meal and special experiences — at more than 4,000 restaurants (including pop-ups) in more than 200 cities across the United States. You’ll also be able to order takeout and even order locally-sourced foods from farms and producers in your region, via the handy Tock Pasture, Produce & Purveyors network. This is a pretty cool feature that you won’t find in dining hubs from other credit cards.

Additionally, Tock is known for focusing on more luxurious restaurants, which means that you may be able to order takeout from establishments that aren’t on platforms like GrubHub and DoorDash. There are even some Michelin-starred establishments on Tock!

If you order takeout, you also get the option to pay for your purchase with Chase Ultimate Rewards points, with your Chase credit card, or a combination of points and your credit card.

Extra Perks for Sapphire Cardholders

But that’s not all. Sticking with this year’s theme of staying home and staying safe, the Chase dining hub gives members ways to do just that, while still enjoying culinary experiences. This is done via virtual events under the Sapphire at Home brand that are limited to Chase members only (think events like culinary celebs walking you through a foodie workshop).

Unfortunately, these experiences are only available to Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders specifically, as an offshoot of the already popular Private Dining Series. They’re not free, either. You do have to pay to attend, but you can pay with your points. Some events come with extra add-ons, such as meal kits or beverages that are intended to be enjoyed during the event.

Pricing ranges from $25 to $200, and fees benefit World Central Kitchen, a food-related nonprofit. Upcoming Sapphire at Home events includes farm tours, wine tastings, and even lessons in charcuterie board-making.

“Our cardmembers don’t just want to have a meal—they want to understand the story and inspiration behind it. The virtual extension of the Sapphire Private Dining Series is enabling them to connect with Chefs from across the country in new ways,” said Marleta Ross, general manager of Chase Sapphire, in a recent release from Chase.

What’s Not to Love?

Regardless of which eligible Chase card you have in your wallet, the dining hub is worth taking at least a look at, and probably advantage of, too, especially if you have Ultimate Rewards points that are burning a hole in your pocket. While usually those Ultimate Rewards points are best spent on travel, where you often get the most value per point, it is a nice option to be able to spend the points on takeout. On top of this, the range offered by Tock is impressive, as are the special events that Chase is providing to Sapphire cardholders.

Bottom line? If you have a Chase Sapphire, Chase Freedom, or Chase Ink card (some of the best Chase business cards), log in to the dining hub today and check it out.
