It's now cheaper than ever to get a Brazilian visaThere’s so much to see, eat and experience in Brazil—and as of last month, it’s cheaper and easier than ever for Americans (and Canadians, Australians and Japanese) to go.

For stays of up to 90 days in Brazil, writes The Points Guy, “nationals of Australia, Canada, Japan and the US can apply for their Brazilian visitor visa via the new e-visa service. In addition, the cost to get a Brazilian visa has dropped from $160 to just $40 — plus an online service fee of $4.24. The new visitor e-visa is valid for both business and leisure travelers.”

And it’s not just cheaper. Processing time is now estimated at just five days. If you have no plans to travel to Brazil, well, keep this in mind. If you do, here’s the government’s new e-visa site, where you can apply, etc.

Yesterday I completed the Brazilian Visa on line. I was surprised how little time it takes. I do question the $40 fee. The cost was $85 and I did not see any option for $40.
