Those big summer travel plans just got a bit easier if you are planning to redeem points and miles for a trip. American Express Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou, and Capital One Venture are all dishing up big bonuses for transferring credit card points over to various airline partners. These airline transfer bonuses are only available for a limited time so be sure to act quickly.

Membership Rewards to Virgin Atlantic

American Express Membership Rewards, the loyalty currency of cards like The Platinum Card® from American Express, one of the best credit cards for travel miles is offering a 30% bonus in points transferred into Virgin Atlantic Flying Club between now and July 1. Not only can Virgin Atlantic miles be redeemed for the airline’s own flights, but also for many partner carriers. These include All Nippon Airways, Delta, and South African Airways.

Since Delta no longer publishes an award chart for its flights, using Delta SkyMiles can often be a far-too-expensive way to redeem a flight. Instead, consider transferring points to Virgin Atlantic to make a redemption (be sure to check availability first; Virgin Atlantic phone agents are able to put awards on hold) to score much better deals on Delta-operated flights.

To take advantage, log into your American Express account to transfer the miles while the credit card to airline transfer bonuses promotion is still valid.

Membership Rewards to Qantas

Are you doing some international travel down under? Earn a 20% bonus when you move points between Membership Rewards and Qantas between now and June 30. Some members may have even been targeted for a bigger bonus so be sure to check your account.

You can use Qantas Frequent Flyer miles, American Express’ newest airline transfer partner, on its own flights plus that of its oneworld and other airline partners. It can be a great deal for redemptions on domestic American flights, too.

To take advantage, log into your American Express account to transfer the miles while the credit card to airline transfer bonuses promotion is still valid.

Citi ThankYou to Virgin Atlantic

American Express is not the only card offering a bonus to Virgin Atlantic this summer. You can move ThankYou points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club between now and June 22 for a 30% bonus. Log into your Citi ThankYou points account to make the transfer. But, be sure to check availability for the specific award you want before moving the points.

Capital One Venture to Flying Blue (Expired)

Take advantage of the regular discounts that Flying Blue offers on Air France and KLM flights by beefing up your mileage balance. Earn a 20% bonus on Flying Blue miles when you transfer Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Miles for Business by June 30.

There have been some great redemptions in the past.

Check availability on Flying Blue’s site before moving points over. You definitely don’t want to have orphan miles stuck in an account when Capital One offers greater flexibility to use them with other carriers. But, when it comes to Promo Rewards, this could be a solid deal, depending upon your travel plans.

Log into your Capital One account to transfer the points. Take advantage of these credit card to airline transfer bonuses.

What about Chase Credit Cards?

While Chase isn’t offering many additional opportunities for cardholders, Chase does have an ongoing transfer bonus with British Airways (Chase’s first transfer bonus – ever!). It is available until June 16, 2019.

However, cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Chase Sapphire Preferred already come with the ability to transfer to a large variety of transfer partners, making these cards some of the best Chase credit cards and best cards to transfer points and miles.
