Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card
The Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card earns the most cash back rewards on sport ticket purchases. You get 4% back at restaurants and on entertainment purchases with tickets for live professional and semi-professional games counting as qualifying purchases. However, college games only earn the base 1% award rate.
Your Vivid Seats purchases earn 8% back through January 31, 2022, when you pay with your Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card. This can be a legit way to find tickets to sold-out sporting events.
Grocery store purchases earn 2% back and all remaining purchases earn 1% back.

If you want a cash rewards card with no annual fee, sports fans should consider the Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card. You get 3% back on dining and entertainment (including live sports tickets), 2% back at supermarkets, and 1% for all remaining purchases.

Citi Premier Credit Card
The Citi Premier® Card doesn’t earn more for sports tickets but does earn 3x points on gas station, restaurant, supermarket, hotel, and air travel purchases. All remaining purchases earn 1 point per $1. There is also an annual $100 hotel benefit after spending $500 or more (excluding taxes and fees) on a single stay purchase booked through thankyou.com. So if you stay for a few nights at the same hotel, you might easily earn the $100 benefit. Plus, the 3x points on select categories can be super helpful while traveling.
Each point can be more valuable when transferring to 1:1 airline partners including Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and Avianca LifeMiles.
This card also lets you book special experiences using the Citi Entertainment program. Some of the special offers including sports camps with star athletes including Rob Gronkowski, Von Miller, or Jayson Tatum. New York Mets fans can get find buy-one-get-one tickets.

The Platinum Card® from American Express may not seem like an ideal credit card for sports tickets at first glance. You only earn 1 point per $1 on entertainment.
