Continuing the Waikiki theme from yesterday’s tip: All the locals know that every Friday night the Hilton Hawaiian Village lights up the sky with a free and stunning fireworks display off Waikiki Beach. It takes place at 7:45pm September-May, and June-August, when it stays lighter a little bit longer, the fireworks go off at 8pm. The show only lasts about five minutes, but they’re fun for everyone and you can see them from other hotels (the photo above was taken from the Ritz-Carlton Waikiki).
