Infographic: How to be the international master of saying “Hello”

Being able to say “hello” to your hosts in a foreign land is a small but significant asset on any trip. It can make the world feel smaller, better and more comfortable, wherever on Earth you may be—which is what inspired Joe Shervell to step in.

The London-based infographic designer has made the world’s most useful tool of communication that much more accessible with the incredible infographic below (also on imgur). Created for londonspeakerbureau.com, it shares how to greet the locals in 54 different places around the world, from Fiji to Ecuador to the Arctic.

“My hope was to create something which bridged the gap between international business and cultural variety,” he says.

I’d say he’s done it—how about you?
