LAX begins its "LAX Presents" free performance series tomorrow

Tomorrow—Thursday, March 21—LAX will kick off the third year of “LAX Presents,” a series of 38 individual cultural performances held at locations around the airport (both international and domestic terminals) through December. Per the press release, performances will include “an eclectic array of styles, such as smooth bossa nova, vintage West Coast rock, Mexican folklórico dance, a music and Japanese calligraphy collaboration, jazz piano, and classical ensembles.” It’s another example of an airport making an effort to give its travelers a sense of place while in transit, and I love it!

Tomorrow’s first-of-the-season performance will include two 45-minute sets by Love Uninhibited Orchestra (LUO), a “16-piece live orchestra that plays the greatest hits from the golden age of love songs karaoke-style and invites the audience to sing along.” Both sets will be in Tom Bradley International Terminal’s Great Hall, with the first set scheduled for 5pm and the second for 6pm.

Rather see them allocate the funds to create a TSA line at Bradley. Unbelievable they still can’t seem to pull this off
