“This offer has expired” See how the Southwest cards compare to this other top travel card that can get you 50,000 Rapid Rewards points too.

For a limited time, you will receive 60,000 Rapid Rewards points after spending $2,000 in 3 months on the personal Premier & Plus and Southwest cards from Chase. These are the largest public bonuses offered ever on the new 60,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card offers!

The personal Southwest Plus credit card comes with an annual fee of $69 and a 3,000 point anniversary bonus. The Southwest Premier cards come with an annual fee of $99 and 6,000 point anniversary bonus.

The Plus and Premier versions are seen as different products, so you can have each product. Note: You can’t get the same version that you have previously held unless it’s been 24 months since you last received a bonus on the specific card. And you will most likely be denied for the Southwest cards if you have applied for 5+ credit cards in the last 24 months.

Southwest Rapid Rewards is a transfer partner of Chase’s Ultimate Rewards program and the popular Sapphire Preferred, so topping off you Rapid Rewards account is easy.

Southwest Rapid Rewards Companion Pass

For many, the Southwest Rapid Rewards program is all about the Companion Pass. The Companion Pass lets you bring a passenger for free on any revenue or award flight, making it the best domestic value out there.

You have to earn 110,000 qualifying points in a calendar year to obtain the Companion Pass. The good news is that points earned from the Southwest rewards credit cards count towards the Companion Pass. This includes the sign-up bonus. Boom.

It’s worth noting that Ultimate Rewards points transferred to Southwest don’t count towards the Companion Pass. And points transferred from hotel loyalty programs no longer count towards the Companion Pass.

Another great benefit of the Companion Pass is that you will receive it for the rest of the calendar year that you meet the qualifications in, AND the full following year. So, getting the Companion Pass early in a calendar year is ideal so that you can have it for two full years. Crazy value.

Conclusion on the New 60,000 Chase Southwest Card Offers

The 60,000 point offers on the Southwest Rapid Rewards cards come and go, so don’t feel like you have to rush to apply now if you’ve been considering them. However, it’s in your best interest to apply early in the year if you’re planning on going after the Companion Pass. And now is a great time to apply since the bonuses are as high as they have ever been.

Personally, I’ve had the Companion Pass in the past, and really enjoyed it, but I’m choosing to save my Chase applications for cards that earn flexible Ultimate Rewards points or give me the ability to travel internationally in a premium cabin. But that’s just me.
