OpenSkies, the transatlantic subsidiary of British Airways, just added a new class. The airline, which flies between New York Newark, and Paris Orly, is reinventing itself with a new economy class in addition to its current business class options.

Beginning June 19, 2012, all outgoing OpenSkies flights will offer a new three-class configuration featuring the popular Biz Bed and Biz Seat (to be renamed Prem Plus), and a brand new Eco class. The new configurations will hold 114 passengers, and the 66 leather economy class seats will feature the same quality of service for which the airline has become known.

As mentioned above, OpenSkies will also debut its new Prem Plus class on outgoing flights beginning June 19, 2012. The renamed Biz Seat section will include 28 seats, and purchase allows passengers priority access boarding.

All new Biz Bed business class cabins will feature 20 seats that recline flat to 180 degrees. In addition to priority access through security and boarding, all ‘Biz Bed’ passengers will also have full access to the British Airways lounges in both the Newark and Orly airports.

Reservations can be made now for Eco class, Prem Plus, and Biz Bed on www.flyopenskies.com, with all travel agencies, and through all channels of British Airways.

Here’s my 2010 OpenSkies trip from Washington, DC to Paris.
