How to take a "phoneless vacation"If you’ve ever felt you’re too tied to your phone/devices, listen up: Several companies are now selling “phoneless vacations” and the response has been very positive.

As the New York Post writes, “The newly launched travel company Off The Grid offers group trips with itineraries, lodging and a daily breakfast included — and no phones allowed. Other resorts and getaways are advertising themselves as phone-free as well.” Among the other phoneless options listed:

In the Four Season Costa Rica example, guests who turn in their phones are provided with “dumb phones” that can be used to make calls in emergencies as well as notebooks and disposable cameras. Pretty neat if you ask me.

Would you take a phoneless vacation? Know of other companies offering them? Let me know in the comments below!

That is specifically why I like to cruise. I’m off the grid and the boss can’t get to me!

No phone? No problem! The hubby and I are taking a 3 month trip to Europe completely off the grid (other than a kindle with limited wifi). We can’t wait for the peace and quiet and we will actually see the places we are going to be. Everything we need (reservation numbers, emergency information) we will have using old fashioned methods. Paper and pencil.
