What is Homes & Villas by Marriott International?

Homes & Villas by Marriott International is a relatively new Marriott product launched in 2019. Instead of staying at a hotel or resort in the Marriott portfolio, you can book a home or villa vacation rental similar to VRBO or Airbnb.

It’s possible to stay at these property types:

  • Private homes
  • Ski chalets
  • Cabins
  • Beach rentals
  • Townhouses
  • Condos
  • Castles

These homes are owned by a homeowner and are professionally inspected and cleaned. Yet it’s possible to book with Marriott Bonvoy to earn Bonvoy points.

When comparing homes, you will see ample pictures of the vacation rentals along with a property description. You can see available amenities, home layout, and their cancellation policy.

Earn 10x Bonvoy Points on Homes & Villas

Marriott Bonvoy members of any status level can earn 10x Bonvoy points on Homes & Villas bookings through August 31, 2021.

The only caveat is booking the stay by February 22, 2021, to earn double Bonvoy points.

Non-bonus bookings earn the standard 5 Bonvoy points per $1 on Homes & Villas stays.

Each Home & Villas night also counts as 1 Bonvoy Elite Night credit.

When browsing your booking options, you can see the total number of points you can earn. Paying with a co-brand Marriott Bonvoy credit card can earn additional rewards points. If you don’t currently have a co-brand Marriott card, there are several exciting bonuses available now.

Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card

For instance, new Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card cardholders can earn 75,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after using their new card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.
