reader-travel-tip2Bring a Pillowcase
Each Friday, we’re featuring a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Nellann N., who says:

“I always travel with a zipped pillow cover and my own pillowcase. Easy to pack and I can put the hotel pillow in the cover…zip it closed, put my own pillowcase on and I don’t feel like I am sharing the pillow with hundreds of other travelers.”

A nice touch to add to most any hotel room. Thanks, Nellann!

Make sure it is a color pillow case so the cleaning crew don’t take it out with the linens.

This is a great idea, but can be improved upon. I use a brightly coloured pillowcase and, because I sometimes take my own pillow, I put it in a plastic bag and in my suitcase before I leave for the day. Nothing is worse than returning to your room only to discover that your pillow/pillowcase has joined the rest of the hotel laundry.
