reader-travel-tip2Create a Trip Contact Group
Each Friday, we’re featuring a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Steve R., who says:

“I always update my contact list to include emergency contacts for each city and country we visit as well as contacts for the embassy in each country. I include the port information as well as airline contact numbers. I also include the groups who have booked our activities, hotels and excursions!

Then, I make a new group and add it to contacts for iPhone/iPad. It’s great to not have to search through all my contacts and keep the specified contacts at your fingertips on the trip!”

A smart idea for iOS users (at least) that could really pay dividends when you need it most. And in the same vein, here’s a great app that helps with emergency contacts and prescription drug info all over the world. Thanks, Steve!
