If you live in California like I do, you surely know by now that recreational marijuana is legally for sale as of January 1. You may also have thought about what that means for drivers, and so today—and because it’s an important message in the larger scheme, as well—I’m sharing police warnings about driving under the influence of marijuana as shared by ABC7.com. Here’s the most important chunk of the story: “As with any DUI, there are legal and monetary consequences. Driving high can cost you up to $10,000 in fines, fees and criminal penalties.”
Driving under the influence of marijuana is a criminal offense in California, which “follows in the footsteps of other states such as Washington and Colorado, where the AAA safety foundation is already doing research.” Know this, and be safe. The story in video is below.
