The Plaza Premium Lounges (PPL) is the world’s first and largest independent airport lounge network. It offers all travelers, regardless of airlines or class of travel, a lounge experience in a class of its own. Travelers who want to access their 70+ lounges worldwide can buy a pass. as PPL will accept anyone who wants to walk in. No membership fees, no business class boarding passes needed, etc. However, those with an American Express Platinum Card, Centurion Card or a Dragon pass can gain entry. Same for Canadians with select Master Card and Visa card holders.

PPL currently only has two lounges in North America: Dallas’ DFW and Toronto’s YYZ, unless you’re flying Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic, where they have a strategic partnership at New York’s JFK, Boston, San Francisco and Washington D.C.’s IAD.

However, according to their public relations team, this year, “they’re expecting to expand its network in the Americas, with additional airport lounges and other airport hospitality services in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston. Newark and Orlando to name a few.”

The average price range to get into one of these lounges is between $35 and $65. The lounge at DFW is $40 for a three-hour pass. I know, a timed pass is kind of pathetic, especially if your flight is delayed but it’s a great way to prevent the lounges from overcrowding.

Surprisingly, the Plaza Premium Lounge is college student-friendly, as they offer a discount to those holding a valid student ID card. Student passengers can now relax in the comfort of their lounges worldwide at a discounted price of $30 by making a reservation via this link.
