I’ve read dozens of articles about things to always keep in your carry-on bag when you travel. I love checking them out to see what handy gadgets and gizmos other people travel with to make air travel better, easier and more comfortable. One of my favorite finds from one of these articles was courtesy of a flight attendant who said she never travels without this phone and tablet stand that flattens completely making it extremely travel-friendly. I never travel without mine now and use it almost every day at home, too. RELATED: Amazon’s Prime Day Deals Are Here – Check Out the Best Deals For Travelers

I’ve had the good fortune of traveling a lot myself and have my own list of carry-on essentials. Since one of the most important things to do when flying is to stay hydrated, we all know that drinking lots of water is key. A collapsible water bottle like this one is perfect for stashing in your bag so you always have a bottle with you. It’s a better alternative to plastic water bottles and because it collapses, it’s easy to take anywhere you go.

But one of my favorite, never-leave-home-without-it beauty products is the cult favorite LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask (according to the company, one is sold every three seconds worldwide). It’s reportedly a go-to for celebs like Kendall Jenner, Zoe Saldaña, Brooke Shields, Gemma Chan, Sydney Sweeney and Nina Dobrev. Over the holidays, this product was sold out everywhere (it makes a great gift) and if you’ve ever used it before, you know why. Fortunately, it’s back in stock and is currently 30% off during Amazon’s Prime Day sale.

The LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask is a favorite for the simple reason that it works. It melts into your lips to deliver intense moisture, it soothes and softens and it prevent dry skin and flakiness. It glides on, it’s not too sticky and it feels luxurious. I’ve been using this product for over a year and I’m still using the same jar so even though the price tag ($24) may seem steep, it does work, it does last (a little goes a long way) and it’s not a bad price for a touch of luxury. And if you’re into pretty packaging, this fits the bill – a lovely jar with a cute little applicator. You can use your finger if you prefer but, on a plane, when your hands are dirty, you’ll appreciate the applicator.

I use this product daily at home but always throw it in my carry-on bag because airplanes (and sometimes hotel rooms) really dry out my skin – face, hands and lips especially. For my hands, I love Elizabeth Arden’s Miracle Balm 8-Hour Cream (dry airplane air doesn’t stand a chance against it) and for my face, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream (it’s so moisturizing, plus my makeup goes on like a dream after I’ve applied it). But for lips, it’s the LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask all the way.

LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask is lightly scented and comes in a variety of scents. I personally love the berry scent but it also comes in vanilla, gummy bear, sweet candy, mango, peppermint and pumpkin spice.

If you haven’t tried it yet, you won’t be disappointed and I’m sure you’ll start adding it to your list of travel essentials, too!
