Travel App of the Week: Jott

JottMessaging app Jott is arguably the most popular app kids are using in schools right now, as it doesn’t require a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Many little kids these days get devices that don’t support cellular service. In other cases, their parents don’t want to pay for it. And many schools don’t have Wi-Fi for the kids, so they use Jott to communicate—as it works using Bluetooth.

Guess where it also works: On planes! If you’re sitting away from your travel companion on the plane and want to communicate without awkwardly leaning over someone, or blocking the aisle, then sign up to Jott. It’s free and available on both iOS and Android.

Just make sure you turn the sound off so you don’t annoy your fellow passengers.

H/T to Dan Nainan.
