MileHi launched just this week in the hope that travelers want to socialize and network with their fellow flyers. It was created by a married British businessman, Richard Lloyd, who claims it’s not for hooking up. According to the UK’s Daily Mail, it’s “marketed as a means of putting fellow travellers together ahead of their journey to ‘connect, message and fly.’”
MileHi allows prospective traveling companions to decide before they fly whether they want to switch to sit next to each other or not. Each user gives their occupation, location and their “marital status.”
Mr. Lloyd said “This is a business tool aimed at making life easier for those wanting to share a cab perhaps into a city or find out who on the flight is going to the same conference as you.” It’s available for iPhone and Android.
