Travel App of the Week: OpenTable (with pay function)

OpenTableDon’t you hate it when you’re in a hurry and you have to flag down a waiter to pay your dining bill? I know I do. But that inconvenience might soon be a thing of the past, as the popular phone-reservation app OpenTable has just rolled out a program for 50 restaurants in New York City—including Le Cirque and Smith & Wollensky—where diners who’ve made their reservations using the free OpenTable iPhone app can get their check, pick a tip and pay their full bill via their phone. They can even check their bill throughout their meal! I can’t wait until this is standard practice throughout the United States (and major world cities) and it’s available on all devices.
