Here’s a new app created by the IATA—the International Air Transport Association—that’s supposed to help passengers beat jetlag. SkyZen is free to download and use from the iTunes store but currently only works in conjunction with the Jawbone health tracker.
The Jawbone health tracker is a fitness wristband that monitors your sleeping patterns and activity while you’re in the air—which SkyZen takes one step further. The app asks you to input your country, age, gender, date, flight number, and class of travel, and then it offers tips and strategy for combatting the onset of jetlag. Then SkyZen creates a regimen for you to follow before, during and after your flight. It not only offers advice on when to sleep and eat but in fact what to eat.
I don’t have a Jawbone health tracker so I haven’t been able to test it out myself, but it sounds interesting. One thing for sure: SkyZen gives a whole new meaning to decision between chicken and beef.
