Taxi FinderTaxi Finder—powered by TaxiFareFinder.com—is a new iPhone app that addresses the problem of getting ripped off by taxi drivers (I just wrote about one way I think this is happening in NYC). In more than 600 cities worldwide, users can use GPS to locate taxi services near them, and then they can pull up ratings, user reviews and phone numbers for each option. Additionally, the app can estimate the fare for every route (TaxiFareFinder.com’s signature service), as well as find the best/fastest route in real-time.

Taxi Finder is available for free for both iPhone and iPad.

Love this app – Thanks for featuring it, I have used it before when traveling out of the country to make sure I am not getting scammed (and also to see the fare cost in other currencies!)
