Travel Product of the World: LuminAID Solar Inflatable Light

LuminAIDHere’s a clever product for anyone into camping or in an emergency situation. The LuminAID Solar Inflatable Light is a solar-powered, inflatable lamp that packs flat and inflates to create a lightweight, waterproof lantern. It provides up to 16 hours of LED light and recharges in approximately seven hours of direct sunlight. It’s ideal for emergency use, camping, or in the home as an extra light source.

The LuminAID Solar Inflatable Light was created by two graduate students from Columbia University’s School of Architecture who designed it to help with disaster relief after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
