How often do you fly? Every other week on average.

How many countries have you been to? 10.

How many continents have you been to? 3

Favorite American city: Manhattan Beach, CA (where I live…and assuming it qualifies as a city). I’m a big fan of NYC to visit as well.

Favorite international city: Venice, Italy.

Least favorite country: Haven’t figured that out yet!

Favorite airline: Still searching. :) I frequent Virgin, American & United these days.

Favorite aircraft type: Any that has flatbed seats in Business Class or above!

Aisle or window: Aisle.

Favorite airport lounge: Still searching.

Favorite U.S. airport: O’Hare.

Favorite international airport: Munich, Germany.

Favorite hotel: St. Regis.

Favorite cruise line: Royal Caribbean—my restaurant is there!!!!

Favorite island: Maui.

Favorite fancy restaurant: Fishing with Dynamite (not “fancy” but “upscale”).

Favorite hole in the wall: CA Roll Factory.

Favorite fruit: Cherry, grapefruit or blackberry—please don’t make me pick!

Favorite food: Meatballs.

Least favorite food: Mushrooms and beans.

Drink of choice (In the air and on the ground): Spicy Margarita most of the time; Kahlua & low-fat milk in flight.

Favorite travel movie(s): Up in the Air (gasp!).

Favorite travel show(s): No Reservations.

Favorite travel book(s): “Eat Pray Love” & Peter Greenberg’s Books!

Right now I am reading: Too many emails!!!

Top 3 favorite travel newsletters/magazines: Johnny Jet’s, of course!

Favorite travel website(s)—besides JohnnyJet.com, of course! Kayak.com.

5 things you bring on a plane: Healthy food, extra laptop battery, warm sweater, too much carry-on, Emergen-C.

What do you always seem to forget: To turn off my cell phone (or maybe I just don’t).

What do you want your loved one to buy you from an airport Duty Free store? Chocolate or a super compact makeup kit—Clinique, anyone?

Favorite travel iPhone app(s): Passbook, airline apps, Waze.

Most embarrassing travel moment: Eating salad out of a Ziploc bag while sitting on the floor of the Fort Lauderdale airport in a Spirit Airlines waiting area when traveling as the host for a PBS series!!! The producer NEVER fed us (or booked us nice flights or gave us time to get food) and the only option was that or like Bojangles or some horribly fattening fried, fast-food dump!

Worst travel moment: See “Most embarrassing travel moment” above. Or the American Airlines flight I was on that had a fire in flight (someone’s laptop overheated) or the emergency landing (also an American Airlines flight) on my way home from shooting Healthy Decadence in Argentina in which they lost all of my luggage including a new set of chef knives! Or my United Flight from LA to JFK where we lost electrical and did an emergency landing. Or the LAX “to JFK” (that ended up in Philly) due to fog where we didn’t get off the plane for 11 hours…in Philly! Then had to rush via car to NYC to make my morning Good Morning America appearance with NO sleep and NO shower! Am I just unlucky???

What’s your dream destination? Really want to go on a food tour of Greece!

Favorite travel charity: Make-A-Wish—not sure that’s considered a travel charity, but, heck, they help kids travel, so let’s count it!

Best travel tip: Rule 240!!!!! Saved my butt a number of times! Basically says that if a flight is delayed for ANY reason but weather, they have to book you on the next flight on ANY airline! Woo hoo! Dodged an 18-hour delay out of Billings, Montana once!
