Short Bio: For more than 25 years, leading designers and architects worldwide have relied on Jimmy Cohrssen to vividly portray the essence of their interiors and buildings in images that have been reproduced in numerous publications. He is expert in all types of camera work including 35mm and medium format digital, 35mm, medium format and 4×5 film cameras. He is recognized for his lighting skills and the highest level of mastery of commercial, studio and architectural photography.
Most recently, he was tapped by Le Meridien and Air France to create A Photographer’s Journey: A discovery of details from takeoff to turndown, a photography exhibition that was curated online and exclusively by Facebook fans of the two brands. The interactive exhibition is available at www.aphotographersjourney.com with never-before-seen photographs of Cohrssen’s journey through culturally rich cities and resort destinations such as Istanbul, Shanghai, Bora Bora, Tahiti and Paris. The top thirty photos, which were divided into themes of around the themes of Style, Voyage and Art de Vivre, will come to life in a final exhibition and displayed in Air France lounges as well as Le Meridien hotels. He was honored as one of the world’s top architectural photographers by Metropolis Magazine and his architectural images have enabled clients to win prestigious awards. He attended the film school of the State University of New York, Purchase, N.Y. and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., and speaks English, French and Japanese.
