Duke'sAsk for a Good Table
Not too long ago, my wife @NatalieDiScala and I were dining at one of our favorite restaurants, Duke’s Waikiki. Just before the hostess walked us to our table, I politely asked if it was possible to get a table along the outside patio. She looked at her chart and sure enough, said it would be no problem. If I hadn’t asked, we would have been seated in the middle of the restaurant, instead of outside with an incredible view of Diamond Head. It won’t always work, but it never hurts to ask!

FYI: I’ve written about Duke’s Waikiki as one of seven places locals eat in Honolulu.

I’m not sure this qualifies as a travel tip.

I do this all the time. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.
