a silky sharkDon’t Touch the Wildlife—Period
What is wrong with people? If you’ve been reading the news, you may have seen that there have been several incidents involving tourists catching wildlife to take photos and then leaving the animals to die. The other day, a Bulgarian lady in Macedonia killed a swan by dragging it out of a lake for pictures and last month, tourists in Argentina killed a baby dolphin. It also happened recently in the US, when a swimmer in Palm Beach pulled a shark out of the water. People should know better but they obviously don’t. Please: Don’t touch the wildlife. Period.

Great word of advice! It’s so horrible to see innocent animals die because of humans’ careless actions! Animals are precious, let’s preserve them…not hurt them!

Thanks for posting this. You can’t post it too many times—we live in MT and EVERY time we go to Yellowstone, we see people trying to get as close as possible (like only a few yards or even feet away) from an animal to take pictures. People don’t realize, or just think nothing will happen to THEM, but even a big, lumbering buffalo, can run about 35 miles an hour. We’ve even seen people with young children standing outside their cars to watch others take pictures. Believe me, you want to be INSIDE your car where you can have a little protection if the animal gets spooked.
