How to Check if Uber or Lyft is Available in Your Destination
As you probably know, I’m a huge fan of Uber and Lyft. These ride-sharing services have not only cut my transportation costs down by almost 40%, but they’ve also made it so much easier to arrange a ride when I need one. No more waiting on hold, giving out my address or standing out in the street to hail a taxi. I’ve used both services (but mostly Uber) all over the US and around the world. I’m pretty much a ride-share expert.

However, I realize that that’s not the case for everyone. For example, I just received a question from a reader asking whether Uber is available at HNL airport. I responded that it is but that anyone can check for him/herself really easily. All you have to do is open the app and change the starting point address to whatever you want it to be. In fact, this is how I order my dad Ubers/Lyfts when he’s in Connecticut or California and I’m traveling the world.

I hope this helps! For those of you who haven’t used Uber yet, here’s my code (uberjohnnyjet), which will get you $10-$20 off your first ride (I also get a $10-$20 credit as it depends on your city).

My code for Lyft is JOHNNY1827, which gives first time Lyft users $50 in credit (applied over ten rides).

Where were you? Maybe in an area without Uber?

On click thru for Lyft, it said only 5 dollars off for LA. I will be going to
SNA to Anaheim. Will it work there? Also, do they serve Anaheim to ONT airport?

You can go into the app and put in future pickup and dropoff to see. but it will be an expensive ride with just $5 off.

I was surprised to find out when I was in Vancouver, B.C. Canada that they do not allow Uber or Lyft.
