After all these years of driving and renting cars, you would think I’d know (rather than having to guess) which side the gas tank is on. Instead, it took a ridiculous BuzzFeed article to teach me that most cars have an arrow on the fuel gauge that tells you what side the tank is on. Who knew?!

  1. Yep, someone pointed that out to me several years ago. Felt like such a dunce for not noticing it myself.

  2. I have been using this trick forever. I travel for business almost every week of the year and since I always have to return the rental car full I picked this up tidbit of information from a fellow business traveler. Has never failed me in over 15 years.

  3. My daughter taught me this fact a few months ago! Why were we all so in the dark?!
