After all these years of driving and renting cars, you would think I’d know (rather than having to guess) which side the gas tank is on. Instead, it took a ridiculous BuzzFeed article to teach me that most cars have an arrow on the fuel gauge that tells you what side the tank is on. Who knew?!

    I have been using this trick forever. I travel for business almost every week of the year and since I always have to return the rental car full I picked this up tidbit of information from a fellow business traveler. Has never failed me in over 15 years.
