LAXLAX Construction Project Begins Tonight
If you’ll be flying through LAX in the near future, this is an important tip. Starting tonight, the airport will begin a construction project to revamp the departure level road—a road used by more than 38,000 people each day. Work will take place 11 pm-5 am Mondays through Thursdays, and 11 pm-1 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, meaning you can expect increased delays during these times. Check out more on the story here.

As for what to expect in terms of the extended delays, laxishappening.com is a great place to go for help. A reader reminded me today that the site offers up-to-date traffic reports by terminal (among many other things) and so is a good place to get an estimate of how much time you’ll need to leave yourself before a flight.
