Ways to shield your laptop or tabletRestart Your Computer
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve checked into a hotel and not been able to log onto their Wi-Fi network. I’ve spent hours reconfiguring my computer and calling and waiting to speak to the hotel’s in- and out-of-house support. Most of the time the problem was on my end and all it took was a simple restart of my laptop. Doh! So before you waste a ton of time (and others’ time) try rebooting your computer to see if that enables you to connect to the Wi-Fi first. If it doesn’t, then call the front desk.

Great tip! A reboot often clears things up. I find myself having to do that often with my desktop at home as well.
