Aria Hotel alarmTurn off the Hotel Alarm Clock
To ensure you get an uninterrupted night’s sleep in your hotel, doublecheck that the hotel alarm is not set. I can’t tell you how many times (including last week) that my room’s alarm clock has gone off super early because the guest the night before never bothered to turn it off. Ugh! Don’t make the same mistake I do. Check to ensure that it’s off before going to bed.

I’ll just unplug the hotel’s alarm clock completely, using my cell phone’s alarm clock function. Also, unplugging the hotel’s clock gives me an available outlet to plug my phone into that’s close enough to the nightstand.

This is a great tip. Too many times I have been shocked out of sleep in the early morning by the alarm clock someone else set. Now one of the first things I do is check the alarm in my hotel room. Next is removing the cootie laden bedspread and don’t even lie on the blankets anymore. Only the clean sheet for relaxing .Can’t always trust the hotels wake up calls either. Missed a flight once because I stupidly asked for a wake up from the hotel and it didn’t work. Always use my mobile phone alarm now

I will remember this excellent tip. My tip: I always cover my hotel room’s peep hole with a piece of tissue paper.

Bring a night light! Helps when getting up in a strange room in the dark; and some bathroom lights will wake the others in the room with you.
