MaidWatch What You Leave in Your Hotel Room
I bet after watching this video you won’t be leaving your valuables out in your hotel rooms any more. Although the maid in the video didn’t actually steal anything, the way she goes through the guest’s bag and handles his computer and tablet is totally uncool.

If I’m staying at a hotel for just a couple of days, I leave the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door and refuse service. If I need my room cleaned or the bed made (though that’s very rare), I usually stay in the room while they do it. I also tip the maids well and usually in person. If I do go out, I almost always leave the valuables locked up in the safe—and even then, it’s usually easy for workers to crack.

Play it safe, and at the very least be conscious of what you leave out in your hotel room.

Most rooms have a safe — put anything valuable in there — or take it with you.

I would never leave a laptop out like that in the room nor a tablet I think that is just asking for trouble. I put any valuables in the safe, including if I purchase something that is expensive
I don’t like the fact that they probably look through your personal items. Probably will not have maid service any more in the hotels I stay in from now on.

Shocking! As if trying to access tablet and computer weren’t bad enough, it looks like she actually looked in the suitcase! My last stay at a Starwood hotel in San Fran, my room got cleaned even though I opted in for a green stay. Fortunately, I had picked up valuables and stored them in the safe.

What I find more offensive is her not changing gloves after cleaning the bathroom and then making the bed. And did you see where she threw the pillows while she made the bed – on the floor.

That’s such a shame, looks like a Marriott property. I have always kept my do not disturb sign up anyway, but this just reassures why I should. Pillows on the ground while you tidy up the bed?? that’s gross. It’s not like she even vacuumed beforehand.
