Paris-France-May-2011-134When to Expect French Train Strikes this Summer
Going to France this week—or this summer? If you’ll be taking the train, you better pack your patience and some backup plans, as according to TheLocal.Fr: “French rail workers said they planned to hold rolling strikes every Wednesday and Thursday from next week onward, in the face of what they consider to be poor working conditions.” If I were you, I’d avoid booking train tickets on Wednesdays and Thursdays until they’ve reached an agreement.

You can monitor train statuses using the rail network SNCF website.
