Travel App of the Week: Airsleep

AirsleepWant to be transported to dreamland when you fly? Airsleep is a new free app for iPhones, iPods and iPads that takes the sound of gentle rain, ocean waves, desert wind and more and then blends them with ambient music and slow-wave (sleep frequency) audio to automatically trigger your brain’s “deep sleep” response. Users can adjust the length of each track based on travel time (up to 10 hours) and to break the spell, simply choose how you want it to end: with bells, chimes, harp, gong, xylophone or silence.

Here’s a recent New York Times piece on Airsleep.
