Travel Website of the Week: Numbeo

NumbeoHere’s an interesting website created by a Serbian guy back in 2009. Numbeo is billed as the world’s largest database of user-contributed data about cities and countries worldwide. It provides current and timely information on world living conditions including cost of living, housing indicators, health care, traffic, crime, and pollution. Though not intended, it’s especially helpful as a way for travelers to get a good idea of what a city will cost them to travel or even live in. You can also compare one city to another in different categories, such as your home city to where you’ll be traveling. Check out the cost of living comparison between New York and Bangkok! No wonder they call Thailand “the Land of Smiles.”

  1. I use qwiqgo.com to compare hotels and flights rates. Recommended.
