One of my favorite things about traveling to Asia is getting to eat all the different fruits, many of which are difficult to find in the States. My favorites are mangosteens and rambutans. If you’ve been to Singapore, you’ve no doubt seen the signs on the subway there warning that one fruit, durian, is not allowed on—even if it’s just being transported. As you’ll see in this video, the durian has a really pungent smell, but when it’s ripe, many love its taste. I’m not a fan of the fruit, but it is funny to see people who have never heard of it smell and taste it for the first time. No wonder the video has over a half a million views.
