If you ever wanted an in-depth look at how airlines get Wi-Fi aboard commercial flights then check out this CBS News story by Peter Greenberg. I had no idea how much work went into getting Wi-Fi on a plane. To give you an idea, to get an entire 747 plane connected takes approximately 15 days. It can cost upward of $200,000 to install a Wi-Fi system on a single plane and they use potato people to measure the performance of Wi-Fi.
