Turkish Airlines is running some unbelievable last minute Valentine’s Day deals! Listen to this … you can get roundtrip airfare to Istanbul for as little as $399 from Washington D.C. and $449 from New York. A roundtrip ticket to Turkey for under $400 is almost unheard of! Ticketing and travel dates for this special fare is February 8-17. I just tested it out (see below) for a ticket traveling from IAD – IST on February 15-18 and it was indeed $399 (including all taxes and fees)  Roundtrip! See below. UPDATE: On February 9, 2013 at 4pm ET I priced out a ticket from IAD-IST for Feb 10-19th and it was $399. See bottom.

Great find, Johnny! Found those fares departing US, but for IST > JFK the best was $595 USD, which is still a great deal.

That is an incredibly good deal to Turkey, I doubt it will last very long. February in Istanbul is beautiful!

Just for the record, Istanbul is safer than DC or NY. But sure, stay at home. Better for you. Cheers from Istanbul from someone who lives here and… hey! I’m still alive.
