Christmas flights

Can you believe that it’s just two days until Christmas? If you’re booked on Christmas flights over the next week or so, you already know to expect congestion at the airport. (In case you missed it, here are the worst times to drive in 10 American cities.) If you’ll be traveling at all—by car, plane, train, whatever—you should make sure to leave yourself plenty of extra time, just in case.

The most disrupted Christmas flights in 2018

AirHelp, which can often get you compensation when your flight is delayed or canceled, recently looked at data from last year to identify 2018’s 10 most disrupted Christmas flights. The list below won’t help you avoid trouble if you’re already booked, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

  2. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  3. San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

  5. Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
  6. Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport (ATL) to Orlando International Airport (MCO)
  7. Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
  8. Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
