Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just announced that all travelers must be vaccinated, even those traveling domestically. At 39:25 in the video below, the Prime Minister announces: “Mandatory vaccination on travel. By the end of October, everyone 12 and over on a plane or train within Canada should be fully vaccinated. There will be a short period where people who are in the process of getting vaccinated can show a negative COVID-19 test. By the end of November, if you’re 12 or older and want to fly or take the train, you will have to be fully vaccinated as will staff. Testing will no longer be an option.”

This is huge news as I believe Canada is the first country to require this. But I don’t think they will be the last. My money is on Australia and then New Zealand to follow.

According to Narcity, Trudeau also went on to say, “These travel measures, along with mandatory vaccination for federal employees, are some of the strongest in the world because when it comes to keeping you and your family safe, when it comes to avoiding lockdowns for everyone, this is no time for half measures.”

During the press conference, it was announced that 89% of Canadians who are eligible have been vaccinated with at least one shot so they’re well on their way to 100%.

For parents with children under 12 (my hand is raised), there won’t be any problem traveling with them for now. However, once they approve vaccines for the next age group, which is rumored to be 5-11 year olds, expect them to move the goal posts.

Do I think there’s a chance the USA might do the same? I do. Especially, after Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in an interview last month that, “I would support that if you want to get on a plane and travel with other people, that you should be vaccinated.” (WebMD)

The CEO of United Airlines has also gone on the record saying: ‘We’re prepared’ for passenger vaccine mandates if Biden says so. (FOX News)

And for the naturally immune? The Israel study has already shown a significant stronger immunity for the previously infected than the vaccines. Also, Pfizer scientist came to the same conclusion.

Natural immunity doesn’t put money in anyone’s pocket.

Small correction to your statement: the comparison was NOT between vaccination and *only* infection. They compared vaccination (without prior infection) to vaccination (with prior infection). This result makes sense, because you’re adding the natural immunity (after infection) to the vaccine’s immunity response.

    Quoted:
The study also indicated that immunity for people who get vaccinated after natural Covid-19 infection lasts longer. It’s especially strong for people who recovered from infection and then got vaccinated, also. “Overall, the accumulating evidence from our study and others shows that long-term humoral response and vaccine effectiveness in previously infected persons were superior to that in recipients of two doses of vaccine,” they wrote.
