The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card is the best overall card for its reasonable $95 annual fee, no foreign transaction fee, and valuable rewards. For instance, each card renewal you get a free night award valid at any Bonvoy property that costs 35,000 points or less. This award is worth more than the $95 annual fee on most nights.

You also earn 6x Bonvoy points on eligible Marriott spends and 2x points on everything else. Automatic Silver Elite status also gives you an extra 10% points on bonus stays. Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card – Premium Rewards

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card is your premium card option. The most loyal Marriott patrons will benefit the most from this card. Although this card has a $450 annual fee (See Rates & Fees), it has plenty of benefits that are worth a lot more.

You get a free night award each card anniversary redeemable at most properties that cost 50,000 points or less. That’s almost any category 1-6 hotel or resort. Two examples are The Royal at Atlantis in the Bahamas or Orlando’s Walt Disney World Swan. Both cost 50,000 points nightly.

Other Marriott benefits include an annual $300 statement credit at Marriott Bonvoy hotels, a $100 on-property credit, and Gold Elite status. Gold Elite status includes a 25% points bonus and enhanced internet access.

You also earn 6x Bonvoy points on eligible Marriott purchases. Flights booked directly through the airline and U.S. restaurant spend earn 3x points. All remaining purchases earn 2 points per $1 spent.

This hotel credit card also has the air travel benefits of Priority Pass Select membership and a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck fee credit. Because American Express issues this card, you won’t be affected by the 5/24 application rule the Chase-issued Marriott credit cards fall under.

Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card – No Annual Fee

The Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ Credit Card is the newest addition to the Marriott family. It doesn’t have an annual fee or foreign transaction fee. You won’t get a free night award although you have automatic Silver Elite status. Other than the initial 50,000 points signup bonus, this card is a no-frills reward card.

This is the best Marriott credit card for casual travelers who don’t want their Bonvoy points to expire. Making a card purchase at least once every 24 months keeps your point balance active.

You’ll earn 3x points per $1 spent at over 6,900 participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels. Additionally, you’ll earn 2x points for every $1 spent on other travel purchases and 1x point on all other purchases. There is no limit to how many points you can earn either.

If you can find a way to redeem the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless free night award, paying $95 annually is an easy option to get more rewards “for free.”

Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card – Business Rewards

Your only American Express Marriott business credit card option is the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card. It has a $125 annual fee (See Rates & Fees), Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status, and one free night award (up to 35,000 points at a participating hotel) each year. Spending $60,000 annually gives you a second free night award.

Marriott purchases earn 6x points per $1 for eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels. Eligible purchases at U.S. restaurants, U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, and U.S. purchases for shipping earn 4x points per $1 spent. All other non-bonus spending earns unlimited 2 points per $1 on eligible purchases.

The Platinum Card from American Express – 1:1 Transfers

Most people use The Platinum Card® from American Express for its many air travel benefits. However, this card also has two Marriott perks. They include automatic Gold Elite status and 1:1 point transfers.
