Some of the easiest credit cards to get approved for let you build your credit score and earn rewards in the process. If you want to start building a positive credit history now, apply for one of these credit card reviews. Then, you can upgrade to a premium credit card in the future that offers better rewards. But only apply for credit cards if your credit score is in good condition and you can manage your credit card spending wisely. Paying interest on your credit cards will negate the points you’re earning in most cases.

The Easiest Credit Cards to Get Approved For Any Credit Score

In general, co-brand airline credit cards are some of the easiest credit cards to get. For most cards, you need a credit score in the mid 600s, but 670 or above is best. Even if your score is only above 600 but not quite 670, you still have good approval odds for cards that don’t have an annual fee. However, your credit limit might be lower than you desire.

The important thing is to apply for unsecured credit cards that earn rewards points. For now, focus on getting a credit card for travel rewards points you can use. Without further ado, here are some of the easiest credit cards to get approved for.

Also, don’t forget to factor in Chases’s 5/24 rule when thinking about one of their products, and remember American Express has a once in a lifetime rule per product on receiving bonuses.

Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

With good credit of at least 670, you shouldn’t have a problem getting the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. With the Venture Card, you can enjoy these perks:

  • 2x miles on all purchases
  • Fee credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck

You can redeem your miles for future award travel. Or, you can redeem them for recent travel purchases. You can read our Capital One Venture review for more details on why it’s the best Capital One credit card.

You can also go with the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card that doesn’t charge the $95 annual fee that the Venture does. However, you won’t get the TSA PreCheck or Global Entry fee credit. See more information here.

Blue Delta SkyMiles Credit Card

The Blue Delta SkyMiles Credit Card doesn’t charge an annual fee and it earns 2 miles per dollar on purchases made directly with Delta and at U.S restaurants. For in-flight purchases, you also earn a 20% in-flight credit savings. All remaining purchases on the Blue Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express earn 1 point per $1 spent.

One benefit of Delta SkyMiles is that they never expire.

Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express

If you fly Delta and want more benefits, look at the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express. Perhaps the most valuable benefit is the free checked bags for you and eight travel companions. You also enjoy free priority boarding.

With the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, you can earn 30,000 miles after you spend $1,000 on your card within the first 3 months of account opening. New cardholders can also earn a $50 statement credit after making a Delta purchase on their new card within the first 3 months of account opening.

This card is great for domestic and foreign travel.

Southwest Rapid Rewards

Maybe you want to earn fast-track status for the Southwest Companion Pass. If so, Chase offers three personal Southwest credit cards that are some of the easiest credit cards to get approved for.

The newest addition is the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Card. Like most other airline rewards cards, you have good approval odds with a credit score in the mid to upper-600s.

As a new Southwest credit card owner, your signup bonus applies to the 110,000-mile requirement. But, to receive the bonus, you must not currently own a personal Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card. If so, you must wait 24 months to apply for a new Southwest card to get the bonus.

With the Southwest credit cards, you earn 2x points on all Southwest and Rapid Rewards partner purchases. These purchase rewards also count toward the annual Companion Pass requirement.

Depending on which Southwest card you apply for, you will get a card anniversary point bonus up to 7,500 points. Since Southwest has some of the cheapest domestic award flights, this bonus can book a one-way flight.

Wells Fargo Propel

The information related to Wells Fargo Propel American Express® Card has been collected by Johnny Jet and has not been reviewed or provided by the issuer or provider of this product or service.

The Wells Fargo Propel American Express® Card does a good job of balancing bonus point purchases and travel rewards. You can receive bonus points on your most common purchases. Plus, you also get some valuable rewards points. And yes, the Prope is a Wells Fargo metal credit card.

For instance, you can earn 3x points on these purchases:

  • Restaurants and takeout
  • Gas stations
  • Travel and transit
  • Popular Streaming Services (i.e. Netflix, Hulu, Spotify)

To redeem points, your best option is booking award flights on the Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards website. They are worth 1.5 cents each. For cash rewards and gift cards, your points are worth 1 cent each. This is the industry-standard redemption value.

You don’t pay an annual fee with the Wells Fargo Propel. For the best approval odds, you should have a good credit score of at least 670. It’s the best Wells Fargo credit card.

Capital One Savor Cash Rewards

For dining credit card rewards, look at the Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card. Once again, you may need a score in the mid-600s. But, you can quickly earn rewards points from your everyday spending.

You can earn bonus rewards on these purchases:

  • 4% back on dining and entertainment
  • 2% back at grocery stores
  • 1% back on everything else

Your rewards points are redeemable for cash rewards. Plus, you won’t pay a foreign transaction fee.

Marriott Rewards Premier Plus (Expired)

Editor’s Note: The new Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card has replaced the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card. You can read more about the new Bonvoy cards here

Co-branded hotel credit cards like the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus might be slightly more difficult to get than airline credit cards. But, you can enjoy a free hotel night each year that outvalues the annual fee.

Plus, Marriott rewards points tend to hold their value more than other hotel points. Now you can redeem your points at select Marriott Rewards or Starwood Preferred Guest properties. On Marriott stays, you also earn 6x points per $1 spent and you can also enjoy a 10% base point bonus as well.

For the best approval odds, you may need a score in the low 700s. But, you can still get the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card with a score in the mid-600s. If your score is in the 600s, you will likely need to have a positive credit history. If you’re looking to upgrade from a secured credit card, this can be a good second step.
