Just a few weeks into the pandemic, many people are suddenly in need of new ways to fill time. And many companies, some of them hurting, are meeting this demand by making things that were previously not free available for free (like the major U.S. sports leagues, as we wrote here).

The latest example? You can now stream SiriusXM for free on your phone, computer or other device through May 15, as announced on Tuesday by Howard Stern (whose “Howard Stern Show” is exclusive to SiriusXM). Per CNET:

“The stream is available online or via the SiriusXM app. Users are still encouraged to sign up with a credit card, but it’s not necessary. All of the channels, including Howard’s and numerous music channels and other talk shows, are accessible now by clicking ‘Watch and listen now’ (on the Android app) or ‘Start free preview’ (on the web site) and selecting a channel.”

CNET also notes that, at least on Tuesday, the free preview doesn’t work when accessed via the iOS app but that “iPhone users can access the stream using the web app on Safari and Chrome browsers, however.”

Access SiriusXM for free via the homepage (click “Start Streaming”) here.
