When the first season of HBO’s The White Lotus first premiered last year, I (like pretty much everyone else) was instantly hooked. In addition to the incredible cast of characters were the location (Maui) and the hotel (the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea), both so impressive they essentially became characters themselves, as integral to the story as everything and everyone else. Season Two of The White Lotus is no different, this time set in Sicily at the iconic San Domenico Palace, a Four Seasons Hotel. Virtually every scene showcases the stunning scenery and glistening waters of Italy’s largest island in the Mediterranean. When Italy isn’t showing off, the San Domenico Palace is with its grand rooms, magnificent gardens and sweeping views of all that gorgeous Italian scenery.

It’s impossible to watch the show and not drool at all that beauty. The very idea of all of it (the luxury hotel, the warm sea water, the rugged cliffs, the pasta, fish, wine and gelato) is enough to make viewers swoon and before you know it, you’re Googling flights to Sicily. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

If you’re dreaming of your own Sicilian getaway and living like the ultra wealthy guests of The White Lotus’ second season, come take a tour of the hotel where it all happens:

The San Domenico Palace is built on the site of a 14th century Dominican convent. Situated in the charming city of Taormina, the cliffside property now houses 111 guest rooms and suites.

The hotel effortlessly blends its historic roots with modern comfort and design.

You’ll be bathed in comfort and luxury in the impeccable rooms. This one features a terrace overlooking the tranquil Taormina Bay.

The Etna Suite is so named because of its panoramic views of Mount Etna, the sea and the island’s breathtaking coastline below.

The marble bathrooms are the epitome of luxury.

Blending with the shimmering blue waters of the Ionian Sea below, the clifftop infinity pool is a dreamy place to spend the day on your magical Italian getaway!

Enjoy food and drinks at the bar where so much of The White Lotus’ drama unfolded.

Explore the two cloistered courtyards and lush gardens shaded by jasmine and hibiscus trees surrounding San Domenico Palace.

Ready to escape to this Sicilian paradise? The hotel is closed for the winter season but reopens on March 14, 2023. Book your stay here.

Sicily is beautiful. The beach scenes used in Season 2 of White Lotus are not in Toarmina but a few hours west in Cefalu. Great place to visit if you ever get to Sicily.
